Hoichoi is an Indian over-the-top streaming video service. The company, which has its headquarters in Kolkata, India, created the service on 20 September 2017. The app is available for iOS and Android devices, as well as on Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon Fire TV. If you’re interested in trying out Hoichoi, read on to find out more. However, before you download the app, here are some things to keep in mind.
First and foremost, Hoichoi is dedicated to Bengali-language films, with English subtitles for all movies. The service currently offers more than 500 Bengali film titles, including about 100 SVF-produced films. It also has more than 1,000 Bengali songs available for audio streaming worldwide. There is a growing variety of children’s content, with originals, web series, and short films from different genres. It is currently the only Bengali video service available on all of these platforms.
In addition to a huge library of movies, Hoichoi offers free episodes and full-length series. At the moment, the app has 80 hours of content available for streaming, with new episodes released each month. Popular series include Mystery, Investigation, Adult / Sex Humor, and Paranormal. Hoichoi Originals, on the other hand, span across Horror, Mystery, and Tragedy genres. It is also available on a range of devices, including the Apple TV and Mi TV.
The content slate for the fourth year of Hoichoi includes 25 original series and literary adaptations. The content lineup includes thrillers, romance, comedy, horror, and even ‘First Day First Show’ films. The platform also launched vernacular video-on-demand, subscription top-up cards, and a pay-per-view feature – which the company later scrapped due to piracy issues. Hoichoi also offers content in other languages.
